About Dr. Clark
ALICE
CLARK, Ph.D., has over twenty-five years experience as
an international educator, researcher and facilitator. Her
background includes teaching, mentoring, small group
development and leadership facilitation, public speaking
and consulting. As Principal of Clark Research Associates,
she works with clients around the world to create more
inclusive organizational cultures.
Noted for her engaging speaking style and her
empowering style of leadership and facilitation, Alice
aims to draw out the cooperative and leadership potential
of each
individual in an organization. She draws upon both theglobal
multiculturalism found in organizations today, and on
the very real diversity in organizational cultures
and values that can exist between organizations that
want to work together. She uses this rich diversity in
creating enlightening interactive experiences for participants
that help them achieve and excel. She is committed
to building
learning organizations.
Alice Clark has a doctorate in world history
and cross-cultural studies, and postdoctoral work in
demography and international
development. She has conducted cross-cultural
research on international demographics and economic development,
and has taught in the UC and CSU systems, at Santa Clara
University, and at institutes in Asia and Africa. She
has published a number of articles on international management.
She uses a unique story-telling methodology in her workshops
and in her coaching and consulting practice, helping
participants to tell the stories of their own best experiences
and to build upon them with new learning.
